After his swearing in, Senator Brown talked about getting jobs for his state's and America's men and women. He is a Republican who won the Senate Seat in a special election to fill the vacancy from Ted Kennedy's death last year. 02/04/10. Maine Township, Illinois has announced a employee reduction of at least 125 jobs. 85 of these jobs will be teaching positions eliminated. The legislative powers asked the school union to reduce their total fees and demands. The school union said, NO! Reductions will occur. 02/20-21/10. The European Union, has approved the takeover of SUN MICROSYSTEMS from ORACLE. The acquisition was announced last year in April. MYSQL is a leading open source database business.

An official in Dubai leaked to the public that Abu Dhabi's bail out of Dubai World, a state-backed conglomerate saddled with debt, was actually only half the headline amount of $10 billion, as this included a previous commitment of $5 billion in credit. The $10 billion figure soothed markets in December. This week's news brought more internal problems about how to deal with the rescue.
