06/30/11. The 44th President of The United States, President Obama told the country that it is time to get rid of charitable deductions and the mortgage interest rate deduction. 06/29/11. Cuba has benefitted from January's 2011 decision by the United States to allow religious, cultural and academic groups to visit that island. Also money transfers to Cuba from the United States were made legal. More tourism which created a whole new work level in Cuba. Good job President Obama.
06/28/11. Former Governor George Ryan's spouse, LuraLynn Ryan has passed away last night from lung cancer at a Kankakee Hospital. She was 76 years old. The question is will former Governor of Illinois George Ryan be able to attend his wife's wake and funeral. The former Governor was able to be at his wife's bedside when she passed away. George Ryan is in a Indiana prison for corruption. The jury thought George Ryan did take bribes in the form of political contributions. Another weird conviction. More to come, stay tune.
06/27/11. Former Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich has been found guilty of 17 of the 20 counts of corruption that was charged against him. He may have to serve six to twelve years in prison. Here is the funny thing. Rod Blagojevich never took one penny for any government service. He did not take a bribe. You have to wonder who this federal jury really was? My question is who got to this jury? Blago's attorneys will Appeal this verdict. More to come, stay tune.
06/26/11. South Korea's May 2011 unemployment rate went down to 3.3% That figure is their lowest unemployment rate since November 2010. South Korea's April unemployment rate was 3.33%. Not Bad. More to come, stay tune.

06/22/11. Currently, 1 million U.S. citizens live in Mexico. 90% of all U.S. oil comes from Mexico. Mexico and The United States of America have a 90% Export business relationship with each other. More to come, stay tune. 06/21/11. China and Russia have signed a $trillion dollar agreement that extends into the year 2023. In that agreement is consumer goods, military/technology exchanges, and a natural gas pipeline agreement. The main question is this. Will China and Russia share Navy duties? More to come, stay tune.
06/20/11. In the state of Illinois, small business refunds total approximately $850 million dollars. Illinois Department of Revenue takes up to three years for a refund. A Small business that has overpaid their taxes and is still waiting for their refund can not carry forward/apply their refund to pay possible future taxes. Illinois State legislatures on both side of the isle are very concerned. Illinois terrible tax policy has caused some small business to set up shop in neighboring states where their state tax policies are much more friendly, respectful to small business owners. 06/17/11. Currently the U.S. Labor Force consists of 15% that are Hispanic. In the United States of America, Hispanics purchasing power in 1985 was valued at $258 billion dollars. Today Hispanic purchasing power in the U.S. is valued at $1 trillion dollars. Hispanic purchasing power compound annual growth rate for 1980 to 2006 is valued at 5.78%. Again that is a annual/yearly figure. That is more than two times larger than the growth in the overall U.S. purchasing power for the same period. More to come, stay tune.

06/10/11. Germany's health care officials have identified the source of the E-coli outbreak that killed 29 Germans. The source was sprouts. Over 2,500 people got sick and 29 died from the E-coli disease. At first the German government blamed cucumbers from Spain. Aren't you glad that the Germans are part of NATO. More to come, stay tune.
06/09/11. China has decided to copy President Obama's plan that helped union auto workers. China does not have the problem with auto unions but they do have a auto sales slump. May 2011, China's auto sales were down 14%. To combat this China has announced they will give any person up to $2,800 dollars toward a trade of their old automobile to be used for the purchase of a new automobile. 06/08/11. Google's competition is now "YANDEX". A company formed in Russia. It has made it's public offering debut on the "NASDAQ" recently. Considered one of the biggest stock offerings in America by an internet company foreign or domestic. More to come, stay tune.
06/07/11. North Korea's dictator, Kim Jong II was seen in China traveling the countryside in his armoured train last month. It's his third visit this year to China that has been confirmed. North Korea depends on China for food, oil, weapons, finance. Also Kim Jong II will be handing over power to his son, Kim Jong Un in the near future. More to come, stay tune.

06/04/11. In Northern Germany a deadly outbreak of E. coli killed at least 17 people. The total number infected from this disease were 1,500 northern Germans. The German government blamed Spain saying that cucumbers imported from Spain caused this E. coli break out. After independent review Spain was not the blame nor the imported cucumbers. The German government was wrong and they apologized to Spain. Unfortunately, the source of the E. coli outbreak is still unanswered. More to come, stay tune. .

06/02/11. The Spanish government has decided to privatize its National Lottery. By making this move, Spain will create the world's largest prize. Lottery prizes could reach billions. Also the sale of their lottery (30%) will create the largest gambling company in the world. The 30% sale of Spain's National Lottery could bring in $10.6 billion dollars to be used toward Spain's huge debt problems. More to come, stay tune.
