05/22/07. Chicago gas prices have gone up again. Regular Gasoline has hit officially $4 dollars a gallon at some gas stations around Chicago. Newly elected Mayor Daley said this week that he does not support lowering any tax on gasoline. He said it builds roads. He suggested using rapid transit, walking or riding a bike to work. By the way, the Mayor has a driver a drive himself to work that is only about 13 blocks away from City Hall. Instead of lowering gas taxes, he is proposing more funding on bike paths. Maybe he should use that money to abort the gas tax.

05/20/07. In Palestine, the Fatah and Hamas elected parties has decided to push for a sieze fire. The stress level in Palestine is at an all time high. With the general population living in fear, lack of food, lack of medicine, lack of secirity do to the check points manned by Israeli troops, no goods are getting to the Palestinian people. Israel has been bombing Palestinian targets this week. Palestinians were firing rockets into Israeli settlements that are not suppose to be settled by Israelis. That land belongs to the Palestinians left living in the area. The United Nations has told Israel to move the illegal Jewish settlements in those areas. Israeli's have even changed the flow of the Jordan River so that it doesn't get to the Palestinians. No matter what side or what issue, this is a big mess in the region. As a pro Jewish person, I say that Israel must allow the Palestinians to live normal lives. Jim Liceaga
05/20/07. Tanks rolled in on a Palestinian Refugee camp in Lebanon this morning in fighting Islamic militants called the Fatah Islam Fighters who recently killed and wounded Lebanese soldiers. This group is not the party of the elected Fatah Political Party in Palestine. The Fatah Islam Fighters are an offshoot of the Pro Syrian Fatah Uprising which broke from the mainstream Palestinian Fatah movement of the 1980's based out of Syria. They are Sunnis. The current fighting started in a town close to Tripoli, Lebanon where the militants thought it could test the Lebanese security of the area by robbing a bank of $125,000. The Security forces responded immediately anf the robbers started shooting in the streets and running into the refugee camp where twoof the robbers were caught. Fighting went on for hours but is now contained. Prime Minister Fouad Siniora said that the militants are trouble makers trying to cause a rip in the Lebanese government. He has called for Lebanon people to back the government in keeping the peace. There are great tensions between the Palestinian refugees and the Lebanese citizens. Since the 1967 War, where hundreds of thousands of Palestinians were kicked out of their homes and lands in Palestine by Israel, the neighboring countries like Lebanon, Egypt, Jordan, and Syria have had to take in these Palestinian refugees. This has caused an unstable region with these countries having to allocate a huge portion of their GDP to take care of these refugees. Israel has always concluded that no Palestinian refugees are to enter Palestine, ever. This is where the problem begins for the world and these countries forced to host these Palestinian refugees. By the way, these countries become a welfare state to keep the peace among Palestinian refugee and their own citizen. Israel owes their existance to the United States of America, not God. In 1948 the United Nation granted the State of Israel to exist because of a single vote from the U.S.A. in favor of their existance. President Truman decided strongly to change his vote the night before the U.N. voted on the existance of Israel. More to come, stay tune.

She was a graduate of Smith College, a civil rights activist, owner of High Grounds Production Company who made documentaries including one on her father. It is sad to hear that Yolanda King has passed away. She lived a life full of trauma. 05/14/07. In Farmers Ridge Texas, the City legislature has passed a bill that fines landlords who rent to Undocumented people. They also made English the official language in that City. The new law takes effect on May 22nd, 2007. It passed with a 2/1 margin. I have to say that if any of the landlords are threatened by the City Officials or police that landlords and their tenants have a strong case to sue the City. On the basis of Loan Discrimination, Equal Opportunity Housing Laws, HUMDA issues and Civil Rights. If the property is seized for back taxes or the mortgage company forecloses on a building because of lack of payment due to the Cities new law against undocumented people, in any City that fines a landlord, discourages renters, and discriminates against children from renting in any particular city for any manner that is a basis of a lawsuit. Discourages renters on the basis of who they are is violating Federal and State Law. These mortgage loans are backed by Federal Agencies, and are using some Federal funds and some State funds. Lots of mortgages that banks sell on the open market are backed by the federal government. The entire housing market is backed by the Federal Government. It is a proven system that has passed the test of time. The town or City itself is using Federal Money and State Money to finance their special projects of all kinds. And the issue of no Spanish used for City Business, the Federal Government gives the States money for certain issues to take care of immigrants who do not speak English. And let us not forget that Spanish is an American Language, a language used in Commonwealths that the United States owns. Thereby the State of Texas benefits. And the City of Farmers Ridge is benefitting. Violation of these Laws do not insure a free and prosperous United States. Unfortunately these city officials who have passed these kinds of laws have shown their true collors of being UnAmerican. This is not a tricky issue. Keep the Communists and Facist ideologies out of the Housing industry and out of our ways of doing business. Those fake city and state officials that have your kids and you in mind next. Capitalism works. Its what this country was built on! FREEDOM! FREEDOM to own property, to rent out your property so that you or your neighbor can pay the bank! Keep those Minute Men OUT of Our Pockets and Property Issues. Some of those people who once wouldn't allow Families with Children, Catholics, Jews, Irish, Afro Americans, Italians, Asians, of course Mexicans (nothing new in this country, just a new century), Women without Husbands who had Children, Single Women without Children, Mixed Race Couples, Gay Couples, Men and Women with Disabilities, and Muslims from renting and owning the American Dream. Property. A house or apartment to rent, to be able to put up your tired feet after a long day of hard work. A place to eat and get your family ready for the next day, in a place of your own. Rent or Own, a property to be safe in. Remember the days of discrimination. It's here again. Thanks to the Unfreedomminded Minute Men and the City Officials that once wore Sheets and Hoods in the open. Now they just go in your face and spit on freedom. DISCRIMINATION on the Basis of Unfair Real Estate Practices from the City of Farmer Ridge Texas. You would think that on these shores from sea to shining sea, Americans would embrace the Shining Hill, not put barbed wire around it. Freedom Counts People, its what we Fought and stood up to the World for. Don't you get it! More to come, stay tune. Jim Liceaga : )

That speaking two languages is bad for the United States. That the future of the United States is poor unless we get rid of bilingualism. Mr. Tancredo people come from Italy who spoke a latin language called Italian which is very similar to Spanish. The state named Colorado is a Spanish name. The United States has territories that speak Spanish. The United States is a Spanish nation like it is an English nation. Remember Jamestown and 1848. Most people in our great country do not realize these facts. He doesn't get it. Another fool who wants to stay ignorant. He is a person who makes the Republican party look racist and foolish. 05/05/07. Happy Cinco de Mayo!! In 1861, Mexico's President Benito Juarez suspended payments on foreign debts, loans owed to France, Spain and Britain. In 1862 Great Britain and Spain settled. French Emperor, Napolean III refused to settle and with the US engaged in The Civil War, took advantage of the situation to leave French troops in Mexico and didn't worry about The Monroe Doctrine. France established a puppet government in Mexico and sent additional French troops to Mexico for reinforcement. The French Army was stopped temporarily at the Battle of Puebla on May 5th, 1862. Thus, Cinco de Mayo!! By 1863, France ruled Mexico and when Puebla and Mexico City were captured and President Benito Juarez had to go into exile. Napolean III put his brother in law, Maximillion in charge of Mexico and by this time the majority of Mexico was French ruled. France has support from the American Confederate troops but when the Civil War Ended in 1865, the Victorious United States government sent the Mexican Freedom Fighters left over surplus US munitions. The Mexican rebels fought hard and now had weapons equally matched with the French army. France withdrew it's troops, Maximillion was captured and killed and President Juarez was reelected in 1867. The US Monroe Doctrine withstood the test from France with the assistance of Mexico. Partners in the pursuit of FREEDOM in North America, Lincoln and Juarez!! Cinco de Mayo was a Great Victory for Freedom, keeping America Free!!!

05/13/07. Presidential Candidate, Junior Senator from Illinois, Barack Hussein Obama has said your not tough if you have to talk about being tough all the time. He was refering to President Bush's tough talk on terrorism. Senator Obama also said that their are no good options in Iraq. Iraqi leaders along with Leaders in the region and around the world disagree with his view. He wants to get U.S. soldiers out of Iraq by March 2008. Iraqi leaders have said that if the U.S. pulls out of Iraq that the country will experience massive killings, more than what is happening currently. Another blood bath, similar to what occured in Viet Nam when the United States pulled out. Over three million people were murdered at that time by communists when we left Viet Nam. The region suffered as well. Iraqi leaders want the United States to keep their new Democracy secured BY KEEPING U.S. troops in Iraq for another one to two more years. The insurgents/terrorists are counting on the United States to leave the country than the region. They back the Junior Senator Barack Hussein Obama's strategy on getting U.S. troops out of Iraq. He said that this is the time to bring all people together. Good thought from a sincere person. Senator Obama's mother passed away about 10 years ago and said that she was the sweetest soul he knew and loved her and wish she was here to share his family and his wonderful success with her. A mother is very important in your life. Happy Mother's Day. Jim Liceaga

05/11/07. In Illinois, Democrat Govenor Blagojevich's Gross Receipt Tax, known as the GRT has been voted down by his own Democrats in the Illinois Legislature. The vote was 107 to 0. Proving once again that this Govenor wastes time on legislation that would have hurt the State. His own party who runs the State legislature told him that the GRT, a new tax wouldn't pass. He ran around the state, wasted tax payer money on television, radio, and print ads. That is why the media treats him well. Now that is leadership. He could have spent his time on compromise legislation. He could have spent time working with the giant industries in Illinois to come up with a way to fund education to give tax payers some kind of tax relief. Remember, this is the same govenor that raised the toll fees 100%. Truck drivers pay much more. Govenor Blagojevich loves to create new taxes and new fees. He loves to raise taxes and fees as well. More to come, stay tune. Jim Liceaga
05/11/07. Finance Minister of Britain for the last 10 years, Gordon Brown has declared officially he is seeking to become the next Prime Minister of Britain, representing the Labor Party. He welcomes all other candidates and will fight for what the Labor Party stands for. His Political partner, Prime Minister Tony Blair has had problems with the English voters for standing at the side of President Bush against terrorism and the Labor Party leader has had problems with corruption charges. Eleven Republican Representatives and Senators in Washington have confirmed to the 43rd President their desire to see clear and positive results from the newest strategy in Iraq or they will vote with the Democrats on Capital Hill this fall. Democrats have announced legislation that funds the War only by giving only half of the War funds to U.S. troops and implementing a pay as we go approach for further funding of the troops in Iraq. Insurgents/terrorists in Iraq are considering this tactic from the Democrats a victory in getting the United States out of Iraq and eventually the region. 05/09/07. The junior Senator from Illinois, Barack Hussein Obama thought that 10,000 people died at Greensburgh, Kansas last friday night. The fact is that, so far 12 people parished in the F5 tornados. He was trying to make a point that equipment used in Iraq by our troops should be in Kansas. Fact is that first term Senator Barack Hussein Obama is tired from campaigning. He admitted such mistakes can and will happen. A simple mistake, and thats the point. It was too simple of a mistake. What happens to tougher issues? What kind of massive mistakes will he make? As our Commander in Chief, does the American public want an inexperienced executive running and leading the country? Maybe the Senator from Illinois should stay in the Senate for another term or be willing to be the Vice President of the United States. A few years in this position would give him lots of experience to be President. He is only 46 years old. Still young enough to become President in about 6 or 10 years. Only time will tell. And Please, Don't forget to Register to Vote. Jim Liceaga

Yesterday the White House was busy with the preperation of hosting Britain's Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip Duke of Edinburgh. 05/08/07. A panel has found guilty World Bank leader, Paul Wolfowitz for giving his girlfriend a 100% pay increase and benefits. He broke World Bank ethics ruls. Something even Europeans were outraged with that kind of pay raise. With European farmers experiencing a drought, Africa in serious financial trouble with aids killing off fathers, mothers, and grandparents, and Latin America seeking partial debt restructure, this was too excessive. $200,000 could do alot for third world countries. He has 24 hours to respond. Sounds like what Chicago's Aldermen and the Mayor did with their pay incrases. More to come, stay tune. Jim Liceaga : )

Curb Immigration, but create more jobs in minority parts of France. Give hope to young men and women who are unemployed and stay close to the United States and Israel. After the Sarkozy election 400 cars were put on fire and 600 to 1000 French men and women rioted in the streets. More than 400 were arrested and let go. 05/02/07. In Chicago, immigrants attending the rally in Grant Park have created a terrific cash flow for the day by riding the CTA. Just what the CTA needs to cover there budget shortfall. Good job to all attending the immigration rally. Jim Liceaga : )
05/02/07. Millions nationwide participate in the 2nd annual Labor day/Immigration rally to bring attention of how the immigration laws are broken and unfair in the U.S.A. In Chicago about 150 thousand to 225,000 people attended the march and the rally in Grant Park. It was fantastic. It brought tears to my eyes of how our great country allows the freedom of assembly. Democracy at work! It is estimated that about 150 thousand marchers stayed at work because they were worried that Law Enforcement might Raid the march just like the Feds raided a small mall on 18th street last week. The raid was justified but was over done with Automatic weapons drawn and occured during business hours where children, women and elderly people shopped. The Feds could have picked up the bad guys at their homes or anywhere else regular peace loving people are not gathered. It could have gotten out of control and dangerous for the regular folks doing their shopping, creating tax dollars for the feds and city. Bad judgement call. In Los Angeles, California police shot rubber bullets and sprayed pepper spray, tossed tear gas and used clubs on marchers. A couple of people threw rocks at the police. The throwers were not part of the peaceful marchers and were part of another group opposing the marchers and immigrants. Police fell into the trap of the throwers and took out their anger on the peaceful crowd. Men, women and children went running from police who were striking anyone in their path with clubs. It was terrible to view people with the U.S. flag being beaten by the police. Well, the world saw this. What were the police thinking? Lots of these marchers have men and women, their children in the Armed Forces, fighting terrorist in Iraq and Afghanistan. This tactic isn't new and was used against anybody not in the majority view by police, especially in California where Mexican haters have lived since 1848. Remember the Zoot Suit Riots. Too many other incidents to mention in this story. Jim Liceaga
